NSIMI FC 2-3 Team Francis

After almost two years in hiatus,NSIMI FC played their first match on a dark cloudy Sunday morning at Tanglin Secondary School.Due to many players being unable to play,NSIMI had to make a few emergency signings such as Abdul Hakim and Ernest Aw.Captain and serial joker Huang Ziting,as well as defensive lynchpin Muhd Nasrullah were forced to miss out due to NSF commitments and overnight chalets respectively.Defensive midfielder Yong Jie,who was on loan to NSIMI FC for the past 2 years, was finally signed permanently on a five year contract with a buyout clause of $5.00. Star midfielder Francis, decided to play for the opponents, much to the derision of NSIMI players but nevertheless, the game went on as usual, with NSIMI having only 11 players. With players like Kelvin Ho,the worry of playing with virtually 10 men was a worry. There were also two hotly anticipated comebacks from two of NSIMI's most important players, with veteran goalkeeper Vikram ''Almunia'' Vijayakumar and Tan Peng Yang aka Theo Walcott playing their first competitive game in almost 2 years. However, due to his loss of speed,or in Kelvin's words ''In PES last time speed 87,now speed 60'', Peng Yang was forced to reinvent himself at right back, playing like this season's Gary Neville.

NSIMI FC Starting Lineup:
Goalkeeper: Vikram ''Almunia'' Vijayakumar
Right Back: Tan Peng Yang aka Gary Neville
Centrebacks: Ernest Aw and Andrew Ooi
Left Back: Jeremy ''Bale'' Cheong

Right wing: Eugene Tham Kok Wai
Defensive Midfield: Yong Jie
Attacking Midfield: Abdul Hakim
Left Wing: Jerry ''Beetle'' Ang

Strikers: Kwee Yi Yang and Kelvin ''Horrendous'' Ho

The game started off badly with NSIMI conceding two goals in the space of 20 minutes due to defensive mistakes from the entire backline. However, after a tactical reshuffle in which Koi enthusiast Kwee Yi Yang was switched to left wing and the game started to turn in NSIMI's favour. Soon,NSIMI pulled one goal back.Marauding right back Tan Peng Yang made a lung busting run to join in the attack, playing a one-two with his sex partner Eugene Tham before crossing the ball and earning a corner. There was a goalmouth scramble from the resulting corner and centre back Ernest Aw scored a superb goal with his left foot to make it 2-1.

After the goal,NSIMI started to dominate the game, particularly in the centre of the park, with new signing Yong Jie having a great game and keeping the opposition star player Francis quiet.NSIMI soon made it 2-2 after a super lucky move from the two gays,Jeremy and Jerry.Jeremy, after getting the ball, panicked and took a swing at the ball and the ball landed int the path of Jerry, who unleashed a stunning volley over the opposing goalkeeper into the back of the net. The entire club has been waiting for Jerry to score his maiden goal for NSIMI and the goal felt like a burden was lifted off his shoulders. We hope that was not the last goal that he will score for NSIMI FC.

However,NSIMI went behind again shortly after. The opposition winger played a one two with the central midfielder and exposed Peng Yang's lack of pace and crossed for the opposition striker to guide the ball into the net with his crotch.Despite the setback,NSIMI continued to dominate the game and almost equalized again from a corner when centre back Andrew Ooi's effort was cleared off the line. With his new mercurial vapour boots,Andrew Ooi was the man of the match, making several timely interceptions and at one point, made a mazy run past three defenders, reminiscent of Tan Peng Yang against MJC.However, his greatest moment of the match came near half time, when the opposition striker started to have cramp.Andrew commented ''我不是第一个cramp'' With that comment,Andrew wins our Man of the Match Award.

Despite the loss,it was a good performance from NSIMI FC.Hopefully, the next game will be on 4th June against Team Houxu.

BLOG REVIVAL~

Time to revive this blog again..

Apparently the last post is not applicable anymore.. as the retirement of Tan Peng Yang is rejected by NSIMI members.. he has resumed handling administrative duties again as i speak, planning the Christmas celebration and fetching of Michael ytd.

Some NSIMI members, namely me, jerry, jeremy, yiyang, peng yang went over to Changi Airport to fetch Michael A.K.A chee yew from Newcastle.. Although his flight from Newcastle to Amsterdam was delayed by an hour, he was able to make the transit flight to Singapore by sprinting towards the gate. Quoted from facebook " Championship-winning sprint at schipol airport for my flight."

However, Cy, as usual, was late again after having a short visit to the duty-free shop to purchase liquors which lasted for an hour. We then proceed to have dinner at popeye's and caught up a lil bit before heading to
Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe for another round. Finally we split at 9+ with jerry bookin in and the rest of us took MRT home respectively.

PS: Chrismas celebration itinerary would be informed by TAN PENG YANG via sms in a few days time. :) thanks PY

CY HAIR SUCKS.. and he stil has the cheek to comment abt my hair!

NSIMI 4-5 Fairfield

The last match ended up with 9-goals thriller. Line-up started as such and due to the scorching hot sun and vast drop in stamina, the game was played in a very slow pace. however, after some time, Horandius took the lead. Midfielder Francis took the ball and dribbled from the half line to the left side of the corner flag before crossing a spinning ball past both the advancing keeper and the centre-back. Horandius took the chance well and head the ball into the empty net. Farfield team then equalised just before the half time.

As second half resumed, changes were made and Broderick and Yiyang switched places after disappointing performance by Boderick in the 1st half after replacing eugene. Jerry and King came off too, replacing chee yew and jeremy. Zi ting pushed to CM, chee yew playing LW, jeremy LB. Xi yue's demand of playing outfield was satisfied as Ning Yang stood between the post.

The 2 strikers wasted too many chances, coupled with some slack defending, which causes Farfield to increase their lead easily, 4-1. the deficit would be much larger if it wasn't for Ning yang's point blank save 1m before the line.

With approximately 10 mins to go, Farfield CB cum JJ right winger Terrence was subbed off, probably due to the clash with Horandius while challenging for a header. This proved to be the turning point as the new centre back mispassed the ball to Horandius whilst coming on for seconds, letting him have a 1-on-1 chance with the keeper. He slotted the ball into bottom right. Broderick however, blamed Horandius for not passing the ball to him as he wanted to score, probably due to the lack of goals for NSMI.

2 mins later Francis pulled back another goal after the keeper stumbled upon the corner kick, blasting the net 20cm before the line. With the score 4-3, NSIMI players felt the fightback is on.
The hoped was dashed however, when RB Andrew hold the ball for too long, blaming the lack of options as eugene was having a cramp. The farfield player then snatched the ball off Andrew, before assisting the striker to ensure their victory.

Francis scored the final goal through header assisted by Horandius' long free kick. Andrew did not look disappointed after causing the defeat, probably because there will be 2 less players who can mock him for his usual Cramp antics- Eugene and Yi yang.

The team then ended the day with some photo-taking session. Cheeky Francis who intended to ruin the photo, embarrassed himself instead, with his 'gay-pose'

LATEST NEWS!!!

(11.03) Yiyang will be unavailable for today's match due to the fear of H1N1 as one of his classmates Ganesh was contracted with the disease. Hence, Horandius will be forced to partner 'gay boy' Boderick for this afternoon's match against Farfield Yong Zhi's team. Kick off will be at 4.

(13.23) But after consulting doctor and ensurin he is fine, Yi yang will attend the last match before prelims. So 1 of the strikers have to warm the bench.
