NSIMI kicked off their first match in 3 weeks due to inavailability of players and opponents under the sweltering heat because AMG booked the pitch at 12pm -.- syarifuddin hidayat was signed on a one-match contract from K.I.N.A FC due to too little players being available for NSIMI and he started on the bench for NSIMI,so too was famous chemistry rep abdul hakim.vikram made his long awaited return from ''mugging'' and was in goal for NSIMI.unfortunately,ziting was played on the left wing for NSIMI due to left winger jerry ''beetle.'' ang retiring from football due to his antics in chua see how's classroom.jeremy ''ILR'' cheong was also unavailable due to other "commitments".rightwinger tham kokwai was unavailable due to excessive wanking on facebook the night before.
NSIMI was slow off the blocks with the 3 week break clearly showing.AMG took the lead when centreback Yo Wee King misjudged a through ball,allowing ex JJC striker kokyao to slot into the bottom corner.NSIMI was 1-0 down in the first 10 minutes of the game.However,NSIMI started to get into the game after 10 minutes and created many chances,many of which were not finished off.ningyang then equalized for NSIMI when striker broderick tan chased down the centreback and pressurising the centreback into making a hashed clearance.the loose ball was collected by ningyang and he danced past one defender before dispatching the ball into the bottom corner.NSIMI were level!
AMG were then incensed at the referee not giving them a penalty decision when striker kokyao went down in the box under a fair challenge by NSIMI's centreback.it was clearly a penalty....NOT.the AMG players,particularly the lovable ernest aw,started to lose their cool and NSIMI took advantage when winger tan peng yang received the ball down the flank and went past leftback jevon before getting his shirt pulled by centreback derrick,earning a penalty.AMG were livid as they just had a penalty rejected earlier.more controversy was to come when midfielder kelvin took the penalty and hit it straight at the keeper and blasted the rebound back to indonesia,only for the referee to call for a retake after some players had encroached the area before the penalty was taken.AMG exploded and hurled expletives at the referee but this did not stop kelvin from dispatching the resulting penalty.it was 2-1 to NSIMI and half time came.
The 2nd half was more of a scrappy affair with the game being a feisty affair due to AMG still pissed at the referee's penalty decisions.This proved to be AMG's downfall when andrew ooi collected the loose ball in midfield and hit a stunning shot over the keeper.it was andrew's maiden first goal and he celebrated as if it was a world cup final goal,but did not overcelebrate for fear of cramping.goalkeeper vikram was given the chance to redeem his a division penalty miss when striker kelvin chased down a loose ball and created a penalty from nothing when the centreback got too pissed with his large frame and just pulled him down.vikram however,mistook the ground for the ball and took the worst penalty ever taken in nsimi history.the game was effectively over from there and pengyang capped off NSIMI's performance by cramping up himself after sprinting for the first time in two months.medical reports after the game showed pengyang to have pulled his hamstring and the star player will be out for two weeks.LOL
MAN of the match: wang ning yang for his goal and dancing past the AMG midfielders as if he wasnt even there.despite suffering a nose injury,he inspired NSIMI to a great victory.
