Starting lineup: Ningyang(GK),Andrew(RB),Nas and King(CB),Jeremy(LB),Pengyang(RW),Kelvin and Ziting(CM),Jerry(LM),Broderick and Yiyang(CF)
NSIMI started off the game without a regular goalkeeper and attacking midfielder Ningyang was forced to play as a goalkeeper for the umpteenth time in his relatively short footballing career.NSIMI started off the better of the two sides, creating many chances but failing to convert them.FC Dynamo were constantly relying on counterattacks, particularly wong junwen down the right for Dynamo. But NSIMI took the lead through an Arsenal-like move.striker Broderick started off the move with a pass to rightback Andrew who passed it to right winger pengyang, followed by a one two with striker yiyang and a pin-point cross for the belated birthday boy kelvin to head into goal.it was 1-0 to NSIMI.the first half ended and it was 1-0 to NSIMI.
After a fun game of open numbers, kelvin was forced to play as goalkeeper for the second half.this robbed NSIMI of its star player and NSIMI's attacking impetus dropped.however, attacking midfielder ningyang was running circles around the dynamo midfield and doing his usual dance.in one instance,he danced past 4 fc dynamo defenders but failed to finish in the box.NSIMI took a two goal lead when striker yiyang went on a great run into the box and passed the ball to broderick who had all the time in the world to finish and put NSIMI 2-0 up.however,NSIMI started to become complacent and dynamo capitalized on this.
Dynamo first pulled a goal back when they launched a counter attack through the middle and the striker placed the ball into the net despite a collision with kelvin the goalkeeper.they then completed the job when andrew failed to clear the ball on the line after a goalmouth scramble during a corner.it was 2-2 and a lesson learnt for NSIMI.
